Shortly after our speeches at the ROPS convention (information in previous article), we were invited to present the needs of seniors in rural areas and how we work providing long-term care. The meeting on deinstitutionalization of social services was organized by organizations representing the social services sector and the Regional Center for Social Policy (ROPS) in Bialystok and the NGO Support Center (OWOP) on November 4, 2022.

In the following days, we remotely participated in two ROPS meetings with medical and local government authorities on the same subject in the Warmian-Masurian province.

In this context, Dr Pawel Grabowski and Dependent Care Coordinator Irena Szwarc spoke about the needs of seniors and the experience of piloting the long-term care model in 5 rural municipalities.

From the reaction and reception of our coverage and our conclusions, we can see how well the tested model fits into the social service development strategy currently being implemented nationwide.

Text of the resolution on the strategy for the development of social services until 2035 (in Polish only)
