In April 2022, I visited our wards and their home carers 36 times. In collaboration with the support network, I undertook the following activities:
- In cooperation with Social Welfare Home in Jałówka, firewood was delivered to our wards.
- I helped to apply to the district family assistance center (PCPR) for a disability certificate and attendance allowance.
- I took lists of home rehabilitation under National Health Fund (NFZ) to all wards using our physiotherapy and instructed them on how to apply for home physiotherapy. The results are already visible – several charges are receiving rehabilitation from the NFZ and our rehabilitation has been suspended for the time being.
- I delivered food from donors to the homes of the most needy clients.
- I delivered Christmas packages from the “Droga” Association to the most needy families of our charges.
- I took part in the recording of two TV reports about my activities.
- As part of the educational activities, on 27 April 2022 a meeting with doctor Michal Niksa was held. A lecture on the topic: “Cancer prevention” was delivered for the caregivers of our wards and the Active Senior Association in Gródek, which is a partner of the support network.
At the end of March, the number of the beneficiaries was as follows:
– Michałowo municipality – 8
– Gródek municipality – 7
– Narewka municipality – 11
– Narew municipality – 4
– Zabłudów municipality – 1
Total of 31 people.
May 2022.
In the month of May 2022, I visited our wards and their carers 36 times and with the cooperation of the network, I undertook the following activities:
- the Social Cooperative “Michalowianka” helped to clean the flat at the mentee’s home.
- the “Senior Citizens Support Corps” programme: I collaborated with community welfare centers (GOPS) in an information campaign and distribution of safety wristbands to our wards.
- I assisted in filing an application to the district family assistance center (PCPR) for a disability certificate and an application to the ZUS (Social Insurance Institution) for a supplementary benefit and a nursing allowance.
- thanks to the “Droga” Association, I donated a mobile phone to one of the wards.
- food and clothing were delivered to the homes of the most needy wards thanks to donors and the “Little Homeland” Association.
- As part of educational activities, on 09 May 2022 I organised a meeting with Dr Michał Niksa for the caregivers of our wards and members of the Senior Club + The topic of the lecture was: “Cancer prevention”.
At the end of May, the number of wards was as follows:
– Michałowo municipality – 8
– Gródek municipality – 8
– Narewka municipality – 11
– Narew municipality – 4
– Zabłudów municipality – 1
Total of 32 people.
June 2022
During the month of June 2022, I visited our wards and their carers 39 times and undertook the following activities in collaboration with the network:
- mowing the grass around the house at the wards in Jalowka and Kituryki thanks to the help of social welfare home (DPS) Jalowka
- I helped to submit an application to the the district family assistance center (PCPR) for a disability certificate and an application to the ZUS (social insurance institution) for a supplementary benefit and a nursing allowance.
- I delivered bedding and clothes to the wards, which I received from donors.
- As part of educational activities, a meeting was held in the municipality of Narew on 07 June 2022 for the caregivers of our wards and members of the Rural Housewives’ Circle. A home hospice nurse led the meeting on the topic of ‘Caring for the Lying Person’.
- I took part in a video on the implementation of the innovation.
- Following the two network meetings we held in the country offices of Hajnówka and Białystok I reviewed the database of the network partners and their services.
- I gathered the information about the free legal aid in the region.
At the end of June, the status of wards is as follows:

– Zabłudów municipality – 1
Total of 31 people.
